Beyond biography, my mission and presence, my purpose is clear: to speak and write in a way that gathers people, celebrates culture, and strengthens the unbreakable threads that connect us all.
My life’s work flows from a wellspring of ancestral memory, global exploration, and unwavering commitment to truth. A Kellogg Foundation Fellowship in the 1990s deepened my dedication to inter-ethnic relations, igniting a journey that has taken me across continents into lands, languages, and living traditions. I have listened in villages and cities, sat with elders, and walked with teachers in deep respect for their lands and customs. My focus is rooted in the histories, struggles, and triumphs of Black, Aboriginal, and Indigenous cultures, yet my vision reaches beyond race to the heart of our common humanity in a race-blended world.
I believe in gathering the world’s people in celebration of what binds us together.
