Marva's Radiant World
Welcome to my creative and scholarly home where words walk boldly, memory dances freely, and healing travels across continents.
I am a woman who writes with fire on her tongue and memory in her bones. My work lives at the crossroads of poetics and pedagogy, where ancestral voices rise, decolonized knowledge flows,
and the lived experiences of Black people across the globe are honored as sacred texts.

Dr. Marva McClean
Dr. Marva McClean is a cultural custodian, poet-scholar, and literary force whose work spans continents and generations. With a voice steeped in ancestral memory and diasporic fire, she writes to awaken, to affirm, and to ignite change.
Her body of work includes acclaimed books such Navigating Black Privilege Across the Globe, From the Middle Passage to Black Lives Matter: Ancestral Writing as a Pedagogy of Hope, and Indigenous Epistemology: Descent into the Womb of Decolonized Research Methodology.
Her most recent publication, Rise and Shine: You Are The Best Thing That Ever Happened To You, is written as a restorative guide for social justice advocates, reminding them of the necessity of caring for their own wellbeing so they may be sustained in their work, offering a gentle reprieve from the heavy weight of academic texts centered on the struggle for justice and equity.
Whether through keynote speeches, cultural workshops, or the lyrical healing of her poetry, Dr. McClean brings radical clarity, spiritual wisdom, and deep joy to every space she enters.
Come meet the woman behind the words, and walk with her through stories that liberate, language that remembers, and pathways toward radiant living.
